WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Can’t most designers achieve the same results?

While many designers have a firm grasp on technical skills and execution not all designers have natural design sense, a passion about rich colours and images that translate into powerful design projects.  Not every designer is an effective visual communicator who can effectively  overcome your visual design challenge and achieve your goals.  As an experienced visual designer, I pride myself in crafting design projects that elevate my client’s business and vision to a higher level.  My ‘out-of-the-box’ thinking, creativity and professionalism are a combination that creates effective visual impact for my clients.

Shouldn’t I just hire the designer with the lowest fee?

These days, our dollars certainly don’t go as far as they used to and we all have less disposable cash for things that we might not deem essential for the growth of our businesses.  Effective design is an investment. It is an investment in your brand that creates a powerful customer experience.  More tangibly, effective design can help to generate more leads that convert into sales.

My son drew my logo, can’t you just retrace it and add a bit of pizzazz?

My expertise is in creating and executing extraordinaire visual design projects.
A lot of detailed thought and careful consideration goes into creating a visual identity for a business – who you are, who your clients are, what you want to convey and where you want to go. Retracing and implementing a basic image does no company justice – the focus must be on using visual creativity to elevate your business to a higher level.  Our partnership will be one that involves committing to a creative process that will positively enhance your company, organization or next event.

I want my logo to look exactly like this example – Can you do that?

Simply put – no.  As an artist and experienced visual designer I am very sensitive to copyright infringement. The creative process is extremely important to me and I will never copy or use someone else’s design.

Of course, it is important to consider and learn from what other industry leaders or your competitors may be doing when creating a visual identity or even a campaign.  In this situation, the key is to create a visual identity for my clients which transcend their competition. My ultimate goal will always be to showcase my clients in a way that presents them as a leader in their industry.

What’s the process once a quote is approved?

Once a quote is approved, it’s time to get to know each other better. I will already have a good idea from our preliminary discussion of what you would like done, but now we need to get into the nitty gritty. I will need to get a sense of what colours you are drawn to, any considerations that need to be kept in mind, what you want your clients to know about you and your business or your event, and the desired response or action that you want from your clients when they see your company’s visuals. Once all of this is established, I will start my creative process in order to come up with a few concepts that will push your company ahead of the crowd.
